Fresno State eliminated SDSU's softball team from the NCAA Regional at Fresno with a 2-0 win in 11 innings last night.
In a pitchers' duel, SDSU's Christina Ross (30-14) allowed two runs on 12 hits – all singles – while Fresno State's Morgan Melloh (41-8) gave up four hits while striking out 11.
After 10 scoreless innings, two singles and an error gave Fresno State (53-12) runners on second and third in the top of the 11th. Andrea Ortega's infield hit drove in the game-winners.
SDSU finished with the best record in school history – 44-17. The Aztecs earlier pounded out 10 hits in a 7-1 win over Sacramento State.

Warner Southern (Fla.) 19-4 in five innings. PLNU (47-10) collected 20 hits in the win and will advance to tomorrow's eight-team double-elimination championship bracket.
Fullerton sweeps Aztecs
SDSU closed out the regular baseball season with an 8-5 loss at
Cal State Fullerton.
SDSU (30-26) was in trouble from the outset. The No. 8-ranked Titans (35-17) chased Aztecs starter Jon Berger with five runs in the first two innings. Fullerton had an 8-2 lead through four, which was plenty when the Aztecs rallied for three runs in the ninth.
The third-seeded Aztecs open the double-elimination MWC Tournament at TCU on Tuesday against sixth-seeded UNLV.
UCSD ousted
Host
Chico State pushed across a run in the eighth for a 3-2 win over UCSD that eliminated the Tritons from the NCAA Division II West Region baseball tournament.
UCSD (43-18) let a 2-0 lead slip away in the seventh when the Tritons committed four errors that helped Chico State (42-16) to two unearned runs.
UCSD beat Nebraska Kearney 12-5 in an elimination game earlier. Starter Matt Rossman (10-4) went the distance for the Tritons.
Women's track and field
SDSU's Stephanie Bagan won the pole vault at 14 feet and SDSU's Decontee Kaye won the triple jump at 43-1¾ at the MWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at
TCU.
